Tres Agaves is an affordable tequila that doesn’t sacrifice quality. They use certified organic estate grown agave and avoid any chemicals or additives during production, delivering a very clean tequila. Originally designed to deliver a line of high-quality products for cocktails, you’ll find Tres Agaves branded tequilas and mixers with wide distribution. But the tequila is good enough to drink straight, so let’s give the blanco a taste.
Aromas start fruity with tart plums and agave, along with slight musty and sweet notes.
Flavors follow with sweet agave, pepper, tart and sweet plums, and a hint of mint. There is a bit of creaminess in the mouth that allows the low-level spice to linger. It’s not terribly complex but delivers a clean sip.
Tres Agaves delivers an excellent entry-level blanco that’s easy enough to drink straight, works beautifully in a cocktail, and is widely available for an affordable price. I picked up mine at a local grocery store!
