This is a special one: the 2026 edition of G4's annual Día de Muertos release, an extraordinary Añejo that retails for about $299.
G4 is made by master distiller Felipe Camarena at El Pandillo (NOM 1579) in the highlands of Jalisco. It’s currently #2 on our list of Top 150 Tequila Brands.
This edition was 100% fermented in wooden vats, so it's full madera for you G4 nerds. Then the blend was split between two kinds of whiskey barrels:
60% was aged for a year in the old-school George Dickel barrels the distillery has used for years
40% was aged for 13 months in newly acquired Jack Daniel's barrels
The packaging is gorgeous. The orange inside recalls the guiding light that welcomes loved ones back on Día de Muertos. And look for the special alebrije bull on the label.
