The Tequila Report leadership has been living in Jalisco for months now, and were there during the recent drama. Despite what you might have seen in American news media, this issue was an eight-hour show of strength by a cartel that included property damage consisting of burned vehicles and burned convenience stores. No injuries occurred, and the entire issue concluded on the same day that it began.
Since then, nothing else has occurred of note, and life in Tequila and the surrounding areas is the same as it ever was. All travel includes some measure of risk, no matter where the destination may be. However, PKGD Tours - operated by Mexican locals - and The Tequila Report are not of the opinion that visiting distilleries is any more or less dangerous than it has ever been.
