Lost Lore was created by Arturo Lamas III and Sarah Lamas to carry on a family legacy while honoring traditional tequila production.
Master Distiller Sergio Cruz crafted this high-proof mixto specifically for cocktails, delivering bold flavor at a retail price of under $35.
Produced using mature Blue Weber agave, traditional brick oven cooking, and roller mill crushing, Lost Lore has built a reputation for thoughtful, limited releases.
Tequila is divided into two main categories: 100% agave and “mixto” (mixed) tequila. A mixto only needs to contain 51% agave sugars, the rest may come from other fermentable sugars, which can include high-fructose corn syrup.
Mixto doesn’t have to mean low quality.
This Lost Lore expression is made with 70% Blue Weber agave and 30% cane sugar. Bottled at 90 proof, it brings extra body and intensity to classics like a Margarita or Ranch Water without losing its agave character.
Nose: Sweet agave, light black pepper, and fresh citrus.
Palate: Cooked agave, lime zest, citrus, minerality, banana, and tropical fruit.
Finish: Medium finish with lingering agave, pepper, a touch of alcohol warmth, and subtle tropical notes.
Hopefully this affordable tequila from Lost Lore helps push more bars toward serving better options in their well and cocktail menus.
