This newer tequila brand is made by Sergio Cruz at the Vivanco Family Distillery at NOM 1414 in the Highlands.
Los Linderos, loosely translated to mean the borders (“go beyond”). Carr Scott an entrepreneur from the Atlanta, Georgia area, along with famed Ohio State football coach Urban Meyers and his wife Shelley, are all behind this brand.
Using only single estate, mature highland agaves, this is also a beautiful bottle with a painted agave on the front.
Aromas: Cooked agave, some citrus, light minerality, herbal, earthy notes.
Flavor Profile: Sweet cooked agave, mint, anis, cinnamon, red hots, no real heat, nice mouth feel. Definitely wouldn’t assume this is 53% ABV.
Finish: Is a medium to a long finish, the cinnamon comes through with nice sweet agave notes.
