El Último Agave is honestly one of the better budget tequilas I’ve had lately. At around $25 here in Indiana, this is a bottle I would grab all day long if you’re looking for something affordable that still tastes like real tequila.

Made at Hacienda de Oro (NOM 1522) in Amatitán, Jalisco, and now being produced under master distiller Iliana Partida, it feels like this brand got a second life after kind of disappearing for a while.

Right away on the nose I get sweet cooked agave with a lot of minerality with a nice vetal note.

On the palate, the sweet cooked agave continues with some nice vegetal notes, almost like green pepper.

The finish stays sweet but brings in a little pepper kick that hangs around medium to long.

For $25, this is just a solid everyday tequila. Easy to sip, works in cocktails, and honestly punches above the price point. If you can find it, it’s definitely one of the best quality-to-price ratios in the tequila world today.
