Siembra Alteño isn’t just a tequila—it’s a statement about what tequila used to be, and what it still can be. Created by David Suro-Piñera who founded Siembra Spirits, in collaboration with master distiller Carlos Camarena from Tequila Tapatio, this high-proof expression is rooted in tradition, transparency, and terroir.

Siembra Alteño is a newer release offering a blanco, reposado and an anejo. The blanco has become on of my favorite pours. It reflects a historically inspired, uncompromising approach to craftsmanship.

Nose - Heavy agave leads the opening minerality and brine. Arriving next is an earth/soil note followed by lime, cinnamon, mint with a hint of pepper to round out this well balanced nose.

Taste - A well rounded blend of agave, minerals, and a cinnamon and chili heat all mesh to start. The warmth stays around to join citrus rind, earthiness, green vegetable notes, lime and saline.

Finish - Hints of fruit, saline and pepper. The end is a warm finish with a cooling mouthfeel and even though its not oily on the tongue the finish lasts.
