Manuscrito is a brand that represents a story in a bottle. This is why each expression is labeled with a chapter to show growth and development.
Manuscrito’s story started in Wisconsin, when three friends decided to start a tequila brand with nothing but a pen, paper and a deep desire to create something timeless.
What do you get when you age a tequila in previously used French Oak Chardonnay barrels? That’s the question answered in their Chapter Three Reposoado.
It’s a unique tasting experience that I believe will captivate tequila, wine and bourbon drinkers. This expression features mature single estate agave slowly cooked in a horno (brick oven) to achieve a complex agave-forward flavor.
Master distiller Oscar Vazquez Camarena allowed this Reposado to develop in the barrel for more than three months.
The roasted peanuts and peanut butter character of this tequila is quite noteworthy, and much tastier than you might initially expect when you read “tequila + peanuts”!
Nose: Butter, Roasted Peanuts, Sweet Fresh Cooked Agave, Honey, Vanilla, Oak spice.
Taste: Cooked Agave, Cinnamon, Vanilla, Buttery Mouth Feel, Peanut Butter, White Pepper, Butterscotch. Very Complex!
Finish: A long finish that shows this tequila’s complexity. Buttery nuttiness with notes of cinnamon, vanilla and barrel spice.
Manuscrito Reposado “Chapter Three” is a tequila that stands out in the crowd.
It finds the right balance of proof, agave and barrel influence.
