Manuscrito tells the story of three friends from Wisconsin who are pursuing their passion for tequila. They partnered with rising star master distiller Oscar Vazquez Camarena and collaborated with El Sabino distillery owner Roberto Lopez Anaya, a fourth-generation agave grower.
The aromas in this “Chapter One” blanco are bold and beautiful, with abundant agave, minerals, and pepper, followed by citrus and anise.
The flavors begin with a mineral-forward profile, followed by citrus peel, cracked black pepper, and a finish that’s both sweet and tart.
The slightly elevated 42.5% ABV provides the perfect tingle, inviting another sip.
Manuscrito offers bold flavor at an approachable price and is well worth seeking out. I’m looking forward to more chapters of this story, and the Chapter Three reposado was just released.
