Lost Lore Tahona Blanco tequila, batch 1 from NOM 1414, had just over 2,000 bottles produced. The tahona at the Sergio Vivanco and Associates distillery is brand new, so you knew Lost Lore wasn’t going to wait long before releasing their own Tahona Blanco.
One key difference from their core blanco is the use of rum and champagne yeast during fermentation.
Nose: The aroma is layered and complex, featuring cooked agave, vegetal notes, brine, salt, olive, and a touch of minerality.
Palate: On the palate, those same notes carry through, with the vegetal character, brine/salt, olive, and minerality becoming even more pronounced.
Finish: Where this really shines is in the finish, as the sweet cooked agave profile for which NOM 1414 is notoriously known comes through beautifully.
This is very close to being considered a limited release, so hopefully you can snag one if you enjoy the flavor profile I've shared here!
