Doce Casas is a newer tequila brand produced at Tequilería Trujillo (NOM 1634), with a focus on traditional production and showcasing the character of the agave.
Doce Casas showcases the union between earth and stars, with the beautiful bottle packaging representing a connection with the universe. This spiritual passion is comes from founder Valerie Saucedo, who started her own brand after consulting a number of our favorites throughout the industry.
This tequila starts with 100% Blue Weber agave grown on a single estate. The agaves are organically grown and crushed using a tahona, a traditional method that helps highlight the natural flavor of agave.
Agave harvesting and fermentation are carefully aligned with lunar phases. Fermentation takes 12 days, while different frequencies are played for the yeast.
Nose: Cooked agave, fresh lemon, olive, herbal notes, and minerality.
Flavor: Sweet cooked agave, olive, citrus, sea salt, and black pepper.
Finish: Medium length with notes of hay, cooked agave, pepper, and a lingering olive brininess.
As Doce Casas continues to expand its footprint in the U.S., its commitment to traditional methods and an agave-first profile has made it a brand worth keeping an eye on for tequila enthusiasts.
