Grown in the red soils of the Highlands of Jalisco, cooked and perfected at Viva Mexico Distillery — proudly operated by the Vivanco family and Sergio Cruz.
Both Sergio Vivanco and Sergio Cruz seamlessly balance their craft between brands distributed in Mexico and the U.S. Together with Jon Bullinger, they’ve created Yéyo, one of the finest tequilas to come out of this distillery, in my opinion.
The first pour greets you with aromas of lightly cooked agave, pineapple, and floral notes.
On the palate, it’s vegetal and mineral-forward, brightened by a touch of sweet citrus that warms the mouth.
It finishes with lingering cinnamon and a mouthfeel that lasts.
Easy to enjoy neat or in a cocktail, and at this price point, it’s absolutely a repurchase for me.
