Suerte Tequila is produced at NOM 1530 where agaves are slow-roasted in ovens and then Tahona crushed. This reposado expression is aged for seven months in charred white American oak whiskey barrels, a longer resting period that contributes significantly to its barrel-forward final profile.
Nose: Very barrel forward, dominated by rich butterscotch and oak, along with warm spices and light fruit.
Taste: Notes of butterscotch, fruit, oak, spices, and green herbs.
Finish: Light notes of oak and caramel, with lingering hints of herbs and anise.
At it’s price, this reposado provides a lot of value considering that it utilizes a Tahona in its production. Its sweeter, stronger barrel influence makes it great for sipping or mixing into cocktails like a Tequila Old Fashioned without price guilt.
