Legado still strength delivers the minerality and anise characteristic of NOM 1123 Cascahuín distillery. What sets this one apart is the extremely high natural sugar agave (~40 Brix) from the owner’s private estate in Michoacán.
Aromas enter with notes of agave, minerals, mint, and a white pepper pop.
The first couple sips bring the heat announcing the high 54.5% ABV, but let it wash over you and the character develops into a pleasant sipper.
There’s tons of minerals straight away, followed by anise, sweet agave, slight herbs, and a jolt of pepper.
This is a lovely blanco for high-proof lovers.
