Atanasio is a brand I hold close to my heart, not just for its tequila, but for the people behind it. I spent a week working alongside the team through a bar work program, where each eight-hour shift revealed another layer of the production process. 

I even helped harvest agave, though I only managed twelve piñas while the pros cleared fields around me!

My favorite part was participating in distillation, a slow and meticulous process where the distiller’s artistry truly shines. It’s where experimentation meets precision, and no two batches are ever quite the same.

This particular batch reveals earthy aromas reminiscent of rain-soaked soil, alongside cooked agave and bright citrus undertones. 

On the palate, it evolves beautifully beginning with vibrant flavor, then transitioning into soft barrel notes, hints of butterscotch, orange zest, and herbal earthiness on the finish.

A thoughtful, expressive tequila that reflects the care and craft of its makers.
