One of the best pairings in the industry is the wild and gregarious nature of Siempre Tequila brand owner Alex LaCroix and the adventurous and charismatic spirit of Master Distiller Sergio Cruz.

They act like they’ve been together their whole life, but Siempre has only been in existence for 10 years (as of 2025) and has been made at NOM 1414 for just a few of those years.

These two tequila geniuses have come up with some of the most talked about, over the top expressions that are now staples for connoisseurs.

So what about their core reposado? It fights way above its weight class.

Very reasonably priced and available in many places, this reposado makes you feel like you owe Siempre money when you finish a bottle.

The profile taste and barrel flavors have Sergio Cruz’s signature and DNA.  This reposado has great aroma, flavor, and a finish that is unbelievable for the price.  I don’t have a ‘house’ reposado, but if I did, this would be it.

Nose:  vanilla / caramel / butter / sweet cooked agave / melon / peach / hint of lime / baking spices / maple / hint of chocolate

Taste: vanilla / cooked agave / mint / pepper / hint of cinnamon / baking spices / melon / pineapple / hint of lime / anise / black tea / baking spices / maple / hint of chocolate / butterscotch / cream soda

Finish: light viscosity / the heavier flavors leave the palate pretty quickly, but what remains is nice sweet caramel, agave, some baking spices, and hint of black pepper / very nice even flavor balance on the finish / no particular flavor stands out over another, which to me is a nice finish / smooth and easy sipper.
