NueveUno Reposado is produced at NOM 1426, Destilería Santa Lucia, under Maestra Tequilera Nohemí Partida — one of the most respected (and still under-recognized) distillers in the industry. Nohemí brings a patient, elegant, and agave-first approach to her tequilas, focusing on thoughtful production and clean expression rather than flash or hype.
This repo instantly takes me back to the old blue-bottle Cabo Wabo days — but in the best way, with a more refined and modern touch.
On the nose, you get cooked agave, buttery sweetness, vanilla, and a pop of orange zest. The palate is full and flavorful: bold agave, vanilla, warm caramel, and a light butterscotch note that adds a smooth, nostalgic richness. A touch of black pepper keeps everything balanced.
The finish is warm, clean, and satisfying, making this one of those dangerously easy sippers.
Nostalgic. Delicious. Certified kosher. And smooth without losing character.
