Crafted with “skills, art, and passion,” El Tesoro is born from mineral rich soils and distilled at NOM 1139, La Alteña, one of the most respected distilleries in Jalisco. Rather than focusing on quantity, La Alteña has always been dedicated to creating exceptional spirits.
Master Distiller Carlos Camarena, alongside José Coronado head distiller, continues the legacy of Don Felipe, using time honored methods a traditional tahona, wooden fermentation vats, and small copper pot stills to produce the distinct character that defines El Tesoro blanco.
The aromas are classic and inviting: sweet cooked agave, anise, honey, and vegetal notes.
On the palate, it’s incredibly approachable, slightly viscous, and true to its agave roots. You’ll find those same cooked agave and mineral tones, balanced with a gentle pepper that doesn’t linger too long.
The finish is crisp white pepper and mineral note, that warms up your mouth.
El Tesoro Blanco remains one of my favorites — a beautifully made tequila that showcases pure craftsmanship. It’s well priced in my opinion for the blanco it is. If you have the chance, it’s absolutely worth it. You’ll taste exactly what great tequila should be.
