Alma Del Jaguar (Soul Of The Jaguar), is one of the fastest growing craft tequila brands, noteworthy for its craftsmanship and environmental consciousness. With 10% of profits supporting the Northern Jaguar Project, every sip honors both the land and the magnificent jaguar that inspired its name.
This reposado is aged 2 months in a combination of Heaven Hill and Jack Daniels barrels, plus 2 additional months in French oak Chardonnay barrels.
On the nose, it opens with sweet, cooked agave layered with warm baking spices, pineapple, and a touch of white grape. The palate carries that agave sweetness through, joined by notes of caramel, honey, cinnamon, and nutmeg, followed by hints of banana. It’s a harmonious blend of vegetal, fruitiness and baking spices that evolve with each sip.
The texture is creamy and full-bodied. The finish is medium to long, leaving traces of spice and citrus that invite another sip. A reasonably priced, truly enjoyable and purpose-driven reposado that will be a favorite of bourbon and whiskey fans.
